Made to last
Thoughtful Care,
Enduring Beauty
Most APCO rugs are made with professional care and to exacting quality standards. To help your rug last longer, follow these simple steps to maintain its appearance, longevity, and continued quality.
Clean spills immediately.
Never rub a spill. Blot liquids with a dry, absorbent white cloth or white paper towel, then use cool air to dry the surface.
Do not rub or scrub rugs.
Aggressive rubbing can cause permanent pile disruption.
Do not use a brush-head vacuum cleaner.
Check the vacuum head before use and vacuum lightly only.
Never apply detergent directly to the carpet.
Seek professional advice.
Do not machine wash.
Have your rugs professionally dry-cleaned.
Rotate your rug regularly.
Rotation helps distribute light exposure and everyday wear more evenly.
Shedding
New rugs may produce fluff from loose fibres remaining after manufacturing. Vacuum lightly and regularly; this will reduce over time.
Braided rugs
Occasionally, loose yarn ends may rise above the pile surface. This is a natural characteristic of the weave. Carefully trim the strand level with the surface using sharp scissors.
